Intermittent sun and cool temperatures greeted the several dozen participants in the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival and Concours d’Elegance “behind the gates” driving tour Friday, kicking off the concours weekend. The 30-some mile tour wound in and out of several gated communities near Hilton Head Island, stopping at various points along the way for people to get a view of the cars. The tour featured an eclectic mix of vehicles, something not always seen in events such as this.
The LA Design Challenge has called for design studios from around the world to compete and create the ultimate law enforcement vehicle for the year 2025. Design studios from Bentley and BMW have taken up the challenge while General Motors, Honda, Hyundai and Subaru – entrants in last year's competition – have returned in a bid to showcase their creativity and talent and be honored in this annual contest. The Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept will go in to production - expect it in the UK in January 2010
Tagged as a Concept Car when Mitsubishi revealed the first information last week, it has now been confirmed that the Outlander GT will go in to production. It will lose a few of the Concept-Cutie bits, such as the ventilated Brembos and the Oz wheels, but apart from that it will be produced pretty much unchanged. I wasn’t too sure about the Lancer nose when it first came in (although it has grown on me) but it does suit the Outlander GT.
